Master Ledbetter

My spinning godfather, WonderMike, had told me stories of the legendary spindle making wizard Ken Ledbetter. So it was with awe and anticipation that I stepped into his booth at Stitches West in my search for the perfect spindle. I spent a loooooong time at the booth, chatting with Ken, learning about spindles and trying out a whole bunch of them, but finally I found the ONE. It turns out that I like spinning on rather heavy spindles, even when spinning very fine yarn… WonderMike can probably profile me based on this piece of information. Anyway, I walked away with an amazing tool, hand crafted by an amazing engineer and craftsman. Here are some of Ken’s spindles, and on the picture you can see the two of us bonding like crazy!
